As my husband and I were researching what gear we want to buy for our stint in Africa I realized I hadn't tapped this resource flush with geeks.
There are two products we are having a difficult time determining our best option. With your recommendations keep in mind we are heading to a country where the average daily temperature is 85-100F (27-35C, I think) much of the year and it is often a bit dusty and/or sandy. Here are the two products we could use some help with:
Digital Camera:
Nikon Coolpix 5700
Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F717
Solar Charger:
PowerFilm R15-1200
Brunton SolarRoll 14
