This [ebay.com] plus a few migs and a few ninjas and tanks and submarines should be just enough for me to take over some smaller countries.

Any targets in mind? Most of my targets (e.g. Wyoming) are pretty much landlocked, so...

Don't forget to overpay Brother Wu after you borrow some cash. He gives you interest on it like he's a bank. Silly progammers missed that one on the Apple. They left it in the Windows version [freewarefiles.com] as an option.

Why spend $7 million on a battleship, when you could spend $9 million on a BED [ebay.com] instead?

I put the interesting text in bold regarding the bed.

"I HAVE LOST NEARLY ALL OF MY VISION AND ALL OF OUR MONEY. WE NOW LIVE IN AN AVERAGE SIZE HOUSE AND THE BED WAS REASSEMBLED IN THIS ROOM, BUT THE BEDROOM IT IS IN ALLTHOUG IT IS THE BIGGEST BEDROOM IT IS A VERYTIGHT FIT. THE MASTER BEDROOM IN THIS LITTLE 6 BEDROOM HOME IS SUCH A TITHGT FIT..."

Who here knows of or owns an AVERAGE HOUSE with 6 BEDROOMS (besides Jon)?

All poor people with renaissance beds have them. Especially if they are blind. Blind people need more rooms for all their belongings because they can't label boxes for storage.

Hmmm, who would want an aircraft carrier when you could sail the seven seas in your very own....... antique bed.

Imagine all of the chaos you could cause with an.......antique bed.

Imagine the fear you'd insire with an........antique bed.

Imagine the hundreds of people who are now dead who at one time or another had sex on that.......antique bed.

Wow, that's a bad mental image.

Plus, who would want to attempt to sleep on an 8 foot high bed? Does it come with its own stepladder?

Ahem, wrong Wu, methinks. There's two of them!

On the subject of Taipan, the Windows version is different than the one I played on my Apple IIe in two distinct ways:

1.) Color rather than green screen.
2.) Crashed after about 90 seconds of gameplay.

Ah, brave new world, to be filled with such operating systems!

And why a rebellious ninja fleet? What are the ninja rebelling against? I thought stealth would be emphasized in such a fleet. In that case, I would go with the bed rather than the aircraft carrier. Much easier to sneak around. Oh, and get some frisbees for Seppuku. And watch out for Pirates!

Have we ruled out the possibility that he hasn't moved, and just can't find the other 24 bedrooms due to his vision situation? Perhaps all of the money has been lost in one of the other bedrooms. Or it is underneath the 8' bed? Now that would be a good reason to have an 8 foot bed, you could fit a lot of loot under a mattress that size. The hard part about losing your vision is it is so much harder to find without your vision. I don't know if I can read whta I just typed, but I do know how to PRESS THE CAPS LOCK AND LOG INTO EBAY.
